AGCVA Virginia BEST

Building Excellence in Safety, Health and Training

The Virginia BEST Program, which stands for Building Excellence in Safety, Health and Training, is designed to encourage and recognize AGCVA members who implement safety and health management systems to benefit construction workers.

The Department of Labor and Industry’s Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) program and the Associated General Contractors of Virginia (AGCVA) have established a strategic partnership entitled “Virginia BEST” to improve best practices, compliance efforts and accident prevention on construction worksites through recognizing the outstanding efforts of exemplary construction employers.

Former Commissioner of Labor and Industry C. Ray Davenport and Mike Cagle, Former Chairman of the Board for the AGCVA, signed a strategic partnership agreement on October 13, 2016.
