Foundation for the Future

To ensure Virginia remains the best place to live, work, and do business, AGCVA has launched Foundation for the Future — a yearlong initiative to define a bold vision for the Commonwealth’s construction industry.

This framework will outline the policies, regulations, and conditions necessary to support a strong, competitive construction industry and workers. It will serve as a guide for the next governor, members of the General Assembly, and other key stakeholders, articulating the industry’s priorities for Virginia’s economic and political future.

Launched in early 2025, the effort will culminate in December with the release of a final report delivered to the incoming governor and all 140 members of the General Assembly.

As part of this initiative, AGCVA is hosting a statewide listening tour to share progress and gather member input. Event details and registration links can be found below.

  • Insights on workforce development, right-to-work, and economic competitiveness.
  • A moderated conversation with local legislators and business leaders.
