Foundation for the Future

To ensure Virginia remains the best place to live, work, and do business, AGCVA has launched Foundation for the Future — a yearlong initiative to define a bold vision for the Commonwealth’s construction industry, and make Virginia the best place to build.

This framework will outline the policies, regulations, and conditions necessary to support a strong, competitive construction industry and workers. It will serve as a guide for the governor, members of the General Assembly, and other key stakeholders, articulating the industry’s priorities for Virginia’s economic and political future.

The Foundation for the Future framework culminated its year long initiative by handing the completed framework to Governor Spanberger's administration at a reception hosted by the Richmond District in January 2025.

Steering Committee co-chairs Arlene Lee and Ron Lauster were joined by other members of the Steering Committee, senators, delegates, and a representative from the Governor's office to celebrate this momentous occasion.
